- Chamfered Tread Elements. As part of their refined shape, the tread elements are strategically chamfered at the sawtooth circumferential grooves and also at the tip of the center elements to increase element stability to fight irregular wear.

These tires have an agressive tread pattern, but are very quiet. Havent had them on long enough to give a good review. They have a deep tread so I hope to get some good miles from them. If they wear as good as the coopers on my wifes minivan i will be happy.
Tires were purchased for wifes SUV. She says she loves them. They are better than the Duelers we had on it. It has not been driven in the snow yet. We average 120 plus inches at main home and 200 plus at our north country home in Lewis county, NY
Bought these tires just in time for the tremendous snowfall NYC had 2010-2011, the tires performed very well and gave me to confidence on my 80 mile per day commute. Tires are great, the service i had was not so great. I picked up my car from Mavis with one lug nut missing from each wheel. It turns out they broke my wheel lock key and didn't bother to tell me even though I was constantly in communication with them over the phone. I had to buy a new set of lug nuts.
Bought 'em in January in Syracuse NY - great performance in the snow, and we've had plenty of that this year!
Have not had them long enough to make a fair statement.Here's what I can say.Off road they are great, can't wait for the snow. On road they are a little noisy and when they were brand new I had some stopping problems. After 2500 miles they seem to grip better when I stop.I never had to break in tires before.
I definitely recommend these tires. Before these I had the Goodyear Wranglers. These Coopers Discoverer are by far better. They have better traction, ride nicer, are quieter, and respond better. I actually feel more in control of the vehicle now. These tires are what you want in a tire. GET THEM !

So far, so good. Haven't experienced a deep snow climate yet, but would expect excellent traction based on tread design. Like the white letter outline, also.
