Mavis Discount Tire in Bay City, MI

I took My vehicle in to see how much for them to do my back Shocks, btw im knowledgeable about engines and vehicles, I Knew what I was talking about when I went in. So they come back to me with a list supposedly I needed the back shocks, front struts and sway bars and alignment for 1,400$ and some change. They walked me back to my car on the lift to show me and the desk lady was trying to tell me what was wrong NOT THE MECHANIC, he just stood there at a good distance watching, and i know he heard me say theres nothing wrong with sway bars. So I took it upon Myself to do the work, of course And i knew what I was talking about and the back shocks were bad but NOT MY SWAY BAR LINKS AT ALL but i still replaced them cheaper than tuffy would have 35$ a link off rockauto. Also my front struts have awhile left on them. They tried to say it would be 2.5hour job took me hour and half to do it maybe less time.DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE AT ALL.

Been taking my truck for years at the dealership I bought it from which recently stated I needed rear brakes as they were at 5mm. Cost was going to be roughly $850 at the dealership to replace the pads which I thought was very high. Took to Tuffy in Bay City on Euclid and after inspecting the brake pads found they were at 6.5 and had over half of the pad life left yet and recommended to do nothing at this time which I appreciated their honesty and will bring my truck back here when new pads or other service is needed. Thanks to Justin and the tech (John) for being honest.

This place is absolutely remarkable! I am front FL, traveling in the area and I had a very serious issue with my brake calipers. They went above and beyond to make sure that it was safe for me to drive and get home without a disaster to my car or my family. The service and care from this location is beyond anything Id ever expect from a large company. The manager was so sweet and kind and kept me posted along the way to make sure I knew what was going on with my car.
