NTB Joins the Mavis Tire Family
NTB (National Tire & Battery) is a trusted name in automotive service and tire care, well-known nationwide for quality and reliability. With a legacy that dates back to the late 1990s, NTB has served millions of drivers with expert battery service, tire installation, brake repair, oil changes, alignments, and more. In 2023, NTB officially joined the Mavis Tire family.
A Legacy of Service
NTB was established in 1997, formed from the merger of two Sears-owned chains: National Tire Warehouse and Tire America. Over the following decades, the NTB brand expanded quickly across the country, building a reputation for high-quality tire selection and fast, reliable automotive service. From 2003 to 2023, NTB operated as part of the TBC Corporation, continuing its nationwide expansion and strengthening its customer base in many metro areas.
NTB Joins Mavis Tire
NTB began its transition into the Mavis Tire family in 2020, with full brand acquisition completed in 2023. Originally operated by TBC Corporation, NTB, which totals over 350 locations nationwide, is now fully owned and operated by Mavis Tire.
NTB continues to serve customers under its household name, maintaining the same focus on reliable service, experienced technicians, and customer-first care - now with the added convenience of online booking through Mavis.com. NTB locations can be found across the Northeast, Midwest, and Southeast.
