Mavis Tires and Brakes in Birmingham (4750 Hwy 280), AL

I took my car in to have my brakes repaired in early February and specifically asked for both the front and back brakes to be inspected. I made it clear that if both needed repairs, I wanted them done at the same time. After their inspection, they assured me that only the front brakes needed to be replaced, so I proceeded with the repair, which included new rotors.Fast forward to the end of March, and my brakes start squeaking again. I bring my car back for an inspection, only to be met with an extremely rude associate who condescendingly asked if I was sure it was the front brakes. I explained that I was confident it was the front brakes because, during my last visit, they assured me that nothing was wrong with the back brakes.I left my car for inspection and later received a call informing me that the issue was actually with the back passenger-side brakesand that the repair would cost upwards of $700. Naturally, I questioned how this was possible given that they had recently inspected the back brakes and told me they were fine. The associate dismissively responded that things happen and even admitted that hes a salesman, so if the back brakes had been an issue before, he would have sold me on those.This response was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. While I understand that wear and tear can occur, I drive less than 50 miles a week, so its highly unlikely that my brakes went from being in great condition to needing a $700 repair in less than two months. This experience has left me questioning their honesty and the quality of their inspections. I wont be returning and wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone looking for trustworthy service.

Incredible service here!! My wife had a flat in the middle of rush hour around 5pm and these guys made time to replace BOTH front tires and had it done before 7:00 the same day!! And at a great price point!! Could not recommend this location more. Thank you guys so much!
