Went there for brakes and got them done for a readable price!

In 2024 I had my Toyota hybrid serviced there for several things. The manager offered to throw in a pair of rear shocks. Since their installation the rear end rattles at the shock mount area. The manager said it might need new mounts. He needs to go back to mechanics school. For example, if yesterday the rear shocks showed leakage with absolutely no rattling and today the shocks were replaced and now they rattle today. What happened? My guess being a 1981 auto mechanics grad, I would say most probably the shock mount stud on top is probably smaller than the stock Toyota Shocks and that's what's causing rattle. Manager said he would get back to me to get a couple mounts. Never did. He just blew me off. Update: I just had my front end aligned and set to "Zero". Which all street driven alignments should be at Mavis in Amsterdam. These guys are spot on. I am a 45 year customer of Cole Muffler and Mavis, not like I am trying to get something for free as many in society do. I am looking for resolution. If I need to buy new mounts I will. I am in discussion with Rob the manager at Mavis in Amsterdam and he has a plan to try to resolve this. UPDATE 4-7-25. I TOOK THIS VEHICLE TO A REAL MECHANIC IN ALBANY NY. BHATTI GROUP LLC. FIRST THING I SHOWED HIM WAS RIGHT REAR PASSENGER TIRE THAT WOULD LOSE A COUPLE POUNDS OF AIR EVERY 2 DAYS. MAVIS MECHANIC SAID THEY COULDNT FIND ANY LEAK. THE OWNER OF BHATTI GROUP SAID TO ME HE DOESNT UNDERSTAND HOW ANY MECHANIC COULD HAVE NOT FOUND IT. THERE WAS A NAIL IN THE TIRE. 1 PROBLEM SOLVED. #2 THE TWO RATTLING REAR SHOCKS THAT MAVIS INSTALLED THAT GAVE ME A HEADACHE EVERYDAY WERE REMOVED BY BHATTI GROUP AND INSTALLED TOYOTA REAR SHOCKS. THEY GAVE ME BACK THE REMOVED SHOCKS AND I PICKED THEM UP AND THEY ARE LIKE A TOY. THEY WEIGH AT LEAST 50% LESS THAN THE TOYOTA SHOCKS. MY CAR ROAD LIKE CRAP WITH THE CONSTANT RATTLING. DRIVES LIKE A DREAM NOW. PROBLEM #2 SOLVED. SINCE THE ORIGINAL MAVIS INSTALL A PRE COLLISION SYSTEM MALFUNCTION WARNING CODE CAME ON . DIAGNOSED BY BHATTI GROUP with scamner AND DISCOVERED THE TINY HEATER ON WINDSHIELD ABOVE MIRROR NEAR CAMERA WAS DEFECTIVE. ORDERED PART FROM TOYOTA TO BE INSTALLED TOMORROW. Heater navigation precollision warning device installed, then sent to windshield repair place to calibrate radar/precollision and all HEADACHES OVER BY REAL MECHANICS.

I went in for tires and while it was in the shop, they noticed that I needed brakes, they brought me into the shop and showed me the car. They are very honest and transparent about how they work. If you are looking for a reliable shop, I would highly recommend.

Got a oil change done and was fast and out the door

I went to 2 different garages to see why my steering wheel kept shaking and no one could figure it out. I went here, and they finally figured it out for me. After 2 years with this problem I finally got it solved because of them. I highly recommend them!

Bought a beater off Craigslist, brought it in for inspections. They were thorough and awesome, walked me through what needed to be done and made sure I was legal to hit the road. Everyone was nice and at no point did it feel like anyone was talking down to me or trying to screw me. This is how you get reliable repeat customers. I won't be going anywhere else.
