I went this past weekend to get an oil change and my tires rotated. They said two of my tires needed to be replaced, no problem I expected it. When I left the dealership, I noticed a scratching grinding noise that wasnt there prior to the tires being replaced. I went the following morning quite frustrated and they took a look at it saying it was my rear brakes (which I got replaced last year) and that they were on their way out. I dont drive my car much, pretty much on weekends or when I drive to visit family once a month, so was pretty shocked. They quoted me $1200 saying my caliber also needs to be replaced. Felt a bit sketchy because knowing the noise, it wasnt one that sounded like my brakes were going. I asked if it was safe to drive since I was making the trip to visit family this week and couldnt drop $1200 after dropping $$$ for the work the day before. They said they cant give me that advice since they would be held liable if something happens which I totally understand. What I dont understand is when the mechanic took a final look at my car before I left (without getting the breaks replaced) they suddenly found the source of the noise and it was a piece of the gas tank band hanging down scraping as I go over speed bumps. Surprise surprise that ended up being the source of the sound! They then took my car for a quick drive and said my brakes are fine. Odd when they just quoted me $1200 and urged me to get them replaced. I ended up getting a second opinion at a local shop and they said nothing is wrong with my breaks and they look like new.Long story shortDont go here, they are completely unreliable and will scam you.
