Mavis Tires and Brakes in Durham (Ellis Rd), NC

I had high hopes for Mavis Tires & Brakes after my first visit, but my experience quickly turned into a nightmare. I originally came in to get a tire patched, and the manager, Ryan, did a great job handling my wheel locks and the repair. However, just five hours later, my tire pressure light came on, and the same tire was already low.When I went back, the guy at the desk (not Ryan) mansplained albeit with a bright smile, It probably just needs air. When I questioned why a freshly repaired tire would already be losing air and asked if someone should check the repair, he insisted it was finethen called me babe. He put air in the tire, called me babe again, and sent me on my way without a second look.I didnt feel right about it, and sure enough, when I checked my car at midnight, the tire was completely flat5 PSI flat. The next day, I had my car taken to Mr. Tire, where they inspected Mavis repair and immediately saw it wasnt done correctly. Since they couldnt patch over the bad patch, I had to buy a brand-new tire, costing me $313! Had I gone to Mr. Tire first, a proper repair would have only cost $40.Mavis carelessness cost me time, money, and peace of mind. I wont be back.

I came by after closing trying to get some air in my tire. The piece was missing from the outside air and Mike came out and inflated my tire for me anyway. Great customer service.

I came to Mavis to get a tire plugged. I first spoke with Gabe who saw me standing in line. Told him what was going on and he got me set up with Aljae. The replacement took 10 minutes. Service was fast and easy. Preciate it fellas

This was one of the only places open on a Sunday, Im glad I went here. Michael gave awesome customer service and my tire was patched very quickly. Ill come back for anything else that I need tire-related. Thanks yall!
