Updating my review: new crew took care of me this time. Had a flat on my way to work. I was towed in to the shop and they repaired the tire, rotated them, and did it all with a smile and a willingness to help. I opted for the damage insurance when I purchased the tires and glad I did as there was no charge. Thanks, Joe and Mavis!Very disappointed with my experience with this location and the tires I purchased. 2 months ago I ended up with a double flat due to screws in my tires. Luckily, I work close to this location and was able to just pull in. I had General Grabbers on my truck.The kind man at the desk tried to help plug the holes but they were too large to be successful. Instead, I had to purchase new tires. He informed me it would be at least a week until he could get me the same tires, but he had Mavis tires that were equivalent. They definitely are not. The spec sheet may claim they are but they corner terribly and struggle with traction. I have now chalked this up to a bad purchase on my part and figured i get whatever use I could out of them.I noticed a few days later, when the snow was all cleared, there was a vibration when driving 50-60 miles an hour. I asked to bring it back in to check and rebalance. They helped me out and I was on my way. Well, the vibration continued so I brought it to my mechanic to see if something greater was wrong. Turns out I needed to get the tires balanced again costing me additional money.I finally had a moment today to call Mavis today and speak with their manager Tommy. I explained what happened asking if they would consider giving me a refund for the cost to get rebalanced. He had a tone of annoyance asking me why I didn't ask for a manger when they were a problem the second time. I really didn't get an opportunity to explain the details of the other mechanic because of his reaction trying to make the situation my fault.He continued to provide alibis for the why.... If I had asked for him he could have done it for me, sometimes their machine needs to be recalibrated, they're the McDonald's of tires so I didn't buy the same quality tire, and how maybe he'd be able to give me a store credit but how much. I may have rated them a 4 star until this point knowing I should have done my homework, but my experience with the manager is what pushed this down to a 1.Instead of taking accountability for his team and trying to make it right, he pushed it back onto me and offered excuses. If they don't tell you, and you are also not aware, they are a value brand of tire. It says it in the name, but it still cost me over 1k for tires so it isn't that much of a discount. Even though the 1st guys told me they were the same, the spec sheet doesn't speak to quality.They didn't tell me and I missed out not knowing that beforehand. I would have only purchased 2 tires instead of all 4 and waited for a better brand. I did buy the warranty so if I have issues I'm stuck with them for the life of the tire. I will not return or do business with Mavis when it is time to replace these tires. I hope this helps you make an informed decision so you can go in with the right expectations.
Fantastic quick friendly service! I had a nail in my tire and came in without an appointment. They were able to fix my tire and get me back on the road in no time! Highly recommend!
Excellent service! Fast, efficient and friendly. Came in thinking I might have had a leak in my tire. Mario assisted me and showed/explained that everything was fine, no leaks but due for new tires before next winter. I have been going to Mavis in Franklin NJ for about 2 year now and not once have I been unsatisfied. Will be back again. Thanks Mavis Franklin NJ!

Well, this is a shame. Myself and my family have been coming here for years. I bought a new tire and the warranty a couple weeks ago..1st time they mounted the tire wrong and by the end of the day I had to call roadside. They took care of the issue, mistakes happen. Put a new tire on drove on it a handful of times and the same tire looked a bit flat. So, I put air in the tire and drove it back to Mavis. The tire held air just fine and wasnt flat when I got to Mavis, but they said theyd check it out. Next thing I know they tell me the tire is destroyed and they wont honor the warranty because my TPS system wasnt working (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). This is just ridiculous, its a shiesty loophole. They knew my TPS wasnt working when they sold me the warranty. I was told I was an irresponsible car owner. I check my tire pressures often, especially in the colder months. I have a pressure gauge in my car and the other tires were just fine. They couldnt even tell me why the tire was destroyed no nail, nothing. Im very disappointed, will file a report with corporate. I would with the BBB, but they are not BBB accredited and have a ton of complaints there already. So, just be weary. The warranty that your paying for may not be honored.
First time customer and the last time. This message is specifically for the owner to understand how his business is being run and perhaps provide a coaching opportunity for his staff.My fianc and I dropped my car off today, to get an oil change along with rotating the tires and put air in the back tire since it was low. When we get the call that the car is done, the associate then proceeds to say there was a leak in the back tire. We repaired the leak and filled air into the tire so its going to be an extra $40. My fianc then asks why didnt anybody call us to get approval for that charge, which the associate then says well its done. I told my fianc to leave it alone because I could see he was upset by that. My fianc asked to look at the breakdown, and the associate goes on to say well its only $40. No one typically complains about that. My fianc and I were both insulted as he made it seem like we were arguing over $40! It was the mere fact that if you are going to make any additional changes that were not initially asked for by the customer, the right thing to do is call the customer to at least inform them before making any changes. Whatever, we stay quiet as were not going to try to dispute with a 20-year-old on semantics, he clearly doesnt understand business and proper communication to build a trusting relationship so that your customer can return. My fianc and I will be traveling much further next time for our oil change. It was much more insulting for my fianc than it was for myself because he has worked for Firestone, Pep Boys, Advanced auto parts, and other automotive companies, and he knows what the proper protocol should have been. Its a shame, because the location was convenient for us. We will be telling our neighbors and friends about our experience.
