Big big Huge Thank you to Haley and Mr. Mitch. We traveled to Hammond for the winterguard championship. Found out we needed a new tire put on before we made the 3 hr drive back home.They had a new tire on the equipment trailer in no time. We were back at the university in plenty of time before our girls performed.

I purchased a set of tires from Mavis Tire in Hammond, LA about a month and a half ago. I didn't get the chance to drive over 55mph until recently, but once I did, I noticed a bad shake in both the seat and steering wheel between 60-70mph. I made an appointment for rebalance and was told it would take 45 minutes, but I ended up waiting until 10:40 AM for a service that was supposed to be completed by 8:45 AM.While waiting, I witnessed some technicians in the parking lot doing what seemed to be singing or rapping, which felt unprofessional. I also saw a technician take my truck for a 5-minute drive and assumed they were checking the balance. When I returned, I was told I owed $55 for balancing, even though I bought the tires from them only a month and a half ago. I was told the balancing wasn't covered under warranty unless I paid for a balance warranty, and they gave me a "break" by only charging for two of the four tires.I was frustrated because the need for a rebalance after only 1.5 months of light driving seemed to indicate a mistake during the initial balance. When I asked about the test drive, I was told that they don't test drive vehicles for balancing, but I had just witnessed my truck being driven.While the ride is slightly better, theres still some vibration in the steering wheel and seat. I had hoped to support a local business and rely on them for future warranty work, but after this experience, Ive lost confidence in their ability to honor their warranty and provide quality service.Would not recommend for future tire services.
