They fixed my tire and fast. Buddy looked out for sure.

It was pouring rain last week and I was parked in a nearby parking lot to do a remote meeting. I forgot that I had left my lights on and you guessed it! I ran my battery down! I was STUCK until I remembered how nice Larry and his guys were to me about 2 weeks earlier when I needed an oil change and tire rotation. I took the chance, walked over to Mavis and spoke with Larry. He was very kind and generous as he was the other time and sent one of his guys over to jump start my car. Just another reason to love living in a small town. People helping people! THANKS LARRY!!!!

Larry and Staff are kind and professional, however it seems that Mavis has a serious programming issue if you need to order tires. On Thursday, March 27th, I placed an online order through their website for new tires and made an appointment for April 1st, and I paid the $25 deposit. I was told that I would receive a confirmation email for this order. A few days go by, and I had still not received a confirmation email. I then called Mavis on Sunday, March 30th, to see if my order and appointment was confirmed. The employee I spoke to asked you are calling for the Conover location correct? And I said yes. He then told me that he did not see my appointment nor my order for tires, and he did not see that the $25 deposit had gone through (despite the charge clearing my account)The employee then set me another appointment for April 1st and ordered the tires for me a second time. He said they would be ready and at the Conover store when I arrived on April 1st for my appointment. On the morning of April 1st, I show up for my scheduled appointment time, and the store had zero record of my order (despite trying to order the tires twice and scheduling the two appointments previously) and they did not have my tires in stock.The staff was apologetic and nice, however after three attempts at trying to buy a set of tires, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Not sure if there was a glitch or if the ordering system was not working right, however I would advise to use caution if you plan to order tires from them in the future.

Very interactive let me visually see the issue that was at hand and explained everything that was wrong with the situation i was in. most definitely recommend this tire shop for anyone in need for cheaper tires or just good work done on your vehicle.

Fast and friendly. I came in with a slow leak and they had me in and out in 30min. Tom and cal are the best thank you for saving me a bunch of time and money!

I got a flat tire after work one morning and brought my car here since it was the closest shop around and the spare was also bad. They told me it was going to be $126 for a new tire and about a 45 minute wait. After waiting 2 and a half hours after getting off a 12 hour shift, I got my New tire. That evening I woke up for work and went outside to see my brand New tire flat again. I go to open my trunk to get my spare out to change it so I could get to work but to my surprise my spare was gone. They forgot to put it back in my trunk and as I examined my car, I seen that my new tire was actually just my old tire that was flat on the first place. When I called them, come to find out there was a miscommunication and the mechanics were told to patch my tire instead of replacing it even though I had a receipt for a brand new $126 tire. Not even worth 1 star.

UPDATE: It took 2 days work but these guys pulled it off. They got the wheel stud replaced and when I mentioned leaving my truck for another day to get the alignment done he said no need we"ll do that now! I would definitely recommend Mavis of Conover! I'll add the before and after photos also.Larry and his team at Mavis tires in Conover took on an impossible job to remove a broken locking nut from my wheel. While the job turned out to be more than we thought it would be, they haven't given up. Current rating at four stars only since the job has not completed yet. These guys have shown the confidence and resilience I was looking for in a garage. I'm certain I'll be changing this to a 10 star review tomorrow when the job is complete.
