Mavis Tires and Brakes in West Bend, WI

Stay away from this buisness, stay far away. I went in to this shop to have two tires mounted and balanced that I purchased at another store because they were able to get it done that morning. While working on my vehicle they said I need two new struts, sway Bar links and a bolt was broken on one of the struts. It would cost $800 to repair which included an alignment. I decided to go ahead with the repair. I waited two days for the correct bolts to arrive. When I picked my van they said the bill would be over $1000. I finally agreed on $919. I went to drive my van home and the abs light, check engine light and the anti skid light was on. They said they damaged a speed sensor. I had to come back the next day and they would replace it. When I got there the part was not ordered. I had to come back in two hours. While installing the sensor they damaged my lug nuts and said I had to buy new ones. I said no, you damaged them you replace them. Then they said they couldn't get the brake rotor off. They were going to beat it off with a hammer. Are you kidding me. There are special puller tools made to remove a stuck brake rotor. They did finish the job and the dash lights are off. These guys are hack mechanics. Very unprofessional. Please stay away from this place. They will screw up your car for sure.UPDATE: my van did not drive correctly so I had another shop take a look at it. I was told the alignment was not done correctly. I had to pay $100 additional to have it anlgned properly.New Update: Now my abs light is on again. I stopped by the shop so they could take a look at it. Shop now refuses to work on my van. I inspected the speed sensor they replaced. I found the wire was rubbing on the wheel. A hole is worn in the wire causing it to fail. This sensor failure is due to improper routing of the wire. Again a sloppy job. Very unprofessional.

My mom took my car in to get new tires that was very overdue and needed. Well it ended up being more of an issue that needed fixed along with longer time before it was completed. The manager, Scott was very helpful. He loaned us a car to get by until my car was finished. He called around and did everything he could to find a bolt (since one of the bolts broke off), they through on some free sway bars, and even gave us a discount! Im very please with the help they gave us and for going above and beyond. If youre wondering where to go for tires come to Mavis!

Great experience! Picked up some shrapnel on my commute and showed up without an appointment on a spare. Scott got me in right away, patched up my tire, aired the rest up and sent me on my way in under an hour. Very reasonable price as well!

I blew out an unpluggable tire Saturday evening. Tire Rack quoted me $1103 shipped (no install) and delivery by Tuesday. I called Mavis to see if they'd install customer supplied tires. Spoke to Scott. He said let me try to see if i can get a better deal than Tire Rack. He did find me a better deal and threw in mount and balance for $1100. I couldn't believe it. AND, he was able to get the tires Monday instead of Tuesday and had them changed by the end of the day. Scott and his staff were a savior and I'm forever grateful. I will forever recommend this place to anyone needing tire service.
