Mavis Tires and Brakes in Tyler, TX

Just over a year, and 19,000 miles ago I bought 4 tires from a Mavis shop in Jacksonville, NC. Last Wednesday (March 26th) I had a blowout while driving through Mississippi. The next day another tire started to separate as I was driving through Louisiana so I stopped and bought a tire. Arrived in Tyler later than I'd hoped for. I stopped at this Mavis on Saturday (March 29th) as an unhappy customer just wanting to get my money back. I was met with patience, professionalism, and a desire to make things right. Management honored their warranty with no reservations. Today I got new tires installed by a team of thorough and polite professionals. This is a great service shop y'all. Customer service is a big deal here..

Have dealt with this company twice. Once it was an alignment on my jeep that they didnt tighten the bolts on the alignment screw.The other was just last weekend they tried to recharge my AC. They claimed after 4 or 5 hours that they were unable to charge the system. That there was a leak and the guy who could diagnose it doesnt work until Monday. They never cranked the truck while they were charging it.and maybe thats their policy but I went to harbor freight. Bought a set of gauges, charged the ac myself, got 26 psi on the low side, 175 psi on the high side and it has held since last Sunday. I dont think somebody whos not qualified to work on car air conditioning systems should be recharging ac systems. Thats why I took it in for service. But clearly somebody unqualified still did a better job than somebody qualified.

Got an egregious estimate from another shop! Dennis at Mavis got me checked out, estimated for a substantial amount less.

They got me in and out with in 15 minutes back on the road no more problems!

I ran over an armadillo and it knocked a plate under my car loose. The process took about 15 minutes. Ben and Felipe helped me and immediately he was so welcoming and nice. I drove 30 minutes out of the way so I could go here because they are amazing at what they do!

They always make sure to call before any work is done to make sure it's something I want or need. The best part is for those that work during the week they are open 7 days a week. They are open late on Thursday until 8:30pm. Thank you for being honest, helpful, and, most importantly, providing some of the best customer service. Thank you again.I had one of the worst experiences with a car dealership (Ford) here in Tyler. They charged me for things they didn't fix and caused more issues on things they were supposed to fix. Refused to honor anything under warranty, but if you paid cash they were able to fit you in within days. Fast forward nine months, and I am again having issues with my brakes, pads, rotors, and hub bearing. James and his team at Mavis did an outstanding job of taking care of my problem and even found more issues with a simple oil change that Ford couldn't even get correct. They are honest and don't try to upsell you on things you don't need. They are open seven days a week, and call before they do anything to your car. If you want honest work, fair prices, excellent customer service, and all-around great people. Take your vehicle to Mavis. They have a loyal customer from my household from here on.
