Mavis Discount Tire in Vails Gate, NY

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience at Mavis Tire, located at 400 Windsor Hwy, New Windsor, NY. On March 30, 2025, I had an appointment scheduled for an inspection at 10:00 AM. I arrived on time, only to wait for over 90 minutes with no explanation or update regarding the delay.When I finally asked the staff about the wait, I was told that there was only one specialist available and that other customers had been ahead of me. However, this should not be my concern. When a service is booked for a specific time, it should be honored, and customers should not be forced to wait without being informed about any delays.To make matters worse, this is not the first time I have faced such issues at this location. The repeated poor service only adds to my frustration and disappointment with Mavis Tire.When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the staff offered to return my keys and asked me to leave without providing the service, which I find to be completely unprofessional and unacceptable.My time is valuable, and it was not only wasted but also disrespected. I demand an explanation for the poor service and compensation for the time I lost. I highly recommend that Mavis Tire reconsider their approach to customer appointments and improve the overall service experience.

I feel completely taken advantage of by Mavis, and I want to warn othersespecially womenabout their dishonest practices. I paid $1,500 for all-season tires that were supposed to last 30,00040,000 miles, trusting that I was receiving the correct and safe product for my car. Instead, without my knowledge, they installed summer performance tireswhich should never be used below 45 degrees. This happened in the middle of November, putting me and everyone on the road at serious risk.Not only was this a blatant scam, but it was also incredibly dangerous. Driving on summer tires in cold weather significantly reduces traction, braking ability, and overall safety. Mavis Tire knowingly put my safety in jeopardy, and when confronted, their so-called goodwill offer still demanded that I pay hundreds more to correct their mistake.After researching, Ive found that this is not the first time Mavis has been accused of dishonest practices, particularly towards women. If you are considering buying tires here, be extremely cautious, demand proof of what they install, and do not trust their recommendations blindly. I will be escalating this matter to the appropriate consumer protection agencies.Mavis Tires deceptive and reckless behavior is unacceptable, and I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.

Mavis Tire New Windsor team took care of me very good with tire change! No appointment but was still quick to be done. Will definitely come back for all my tire needs!
