I wish I could give a negative star rating to this Mavis store, not even zero stars, they were so bad. I scheduled an oil change appointment for Monday, April 14 at 8 am, and was there on time (there was only one other customer in the store ahead of me by then). I made it very clear to the service manager that I came for the oil change only and I scheduled the early appointment because of my work commitments later that morning. The service manager confirmed the oil change only, quoted me the price, and said the oil change "won't take long". I could see my car from the waiting room being lifted on the hydraulic lift and I assumed the oil change was in progress. 20 minutes later, I was asked by another service manager to go to the workshop where he tried to talk me into doing some additional work on my car for $1589. When I refused, he said he could do it for $1200. I asked him again just to change oil. I had my car fully serviced less than 4 months ago and there was not a single issue left unresolved after the service. I went back to the waiting room area, and before I knew it, my car was on the hydraulic lift WITHOUT the tires, although few minutes earlier there were tires on my car when I was standing next to it in the workshop. I asked the first service manager why did they take off the tires for oil change? He told me that it was a mandatory policy of every Mavis store because of liabilities etc. I found out later online it is not mandatory at Mavis stores to take off tires while changing oil. They are supposed to check the tires as the part of the oil change process but NOT remove them for a standard oil change. So either the online information is incorrect or I was being lied to by the service manager. The oil change process took full 70 minutes, even though my car was one of the two cars serviced first in the shop that wasn't busy at that early hour and there were at least 5 mechanics in the workshop I could see. I have done many oil changes on my cars, but I don't ever remember taking it this long, almost twice the average time for a simple oil change. Needless to say, I won't be going back to this store or any other Mavis store anytime soon. I read the other low rated reviews and Mavis responded to almost all of them with the same apologies and promises to improve things blah blah blah. The reviews' complaints are very similar to mine - overcharging, inadequate service time, dishonesty, a very low level of professionalism. They know their service sucks but they keep treating their customers the same bad ways anyway.

Great people, great facility. Very fast service. I had nail in tire and loosing air quick. I was in 15 min before closing time. And James took me in without any questions or displeasure. This is after I was turned down at another Mavis facility before coming here. I will bring my future business to this place. They saved me lot of hassle.
