Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. d/b/a Mavis Discount Tire and Mavis Tires & Brakes (“Mavis” or “we” or “us”) developed this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) to provide you with information about our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information through any website or mobile service that links to this Policy, or through other business functions of Mavis when this Policy is provided or referred to you (the “Services").

We collect the information you submit to us through the Services, whether through store visits or on our web properties, social media channels, or mobile device apps. This information may include: IP address; online identifiers such as device and advertising identifiers; browser characteristics, such as information about your browser software and version; device characteristics, such as information about your mobile device carrier and type; operating system; language preferences; geolocation data (in connection with certain features of our Services); information about the links you click, pages you view, and advertising you interact with within the Services and other information about how you use the Services, including dates and times; pages that you visit before and after using the Services; and information regarding the effectiveness of our email and other communications with you, such as whether you follow a link in an email we send to you. The above categories of data may include sensitive personal information. We may aggregate or de-identify the information described above so that it does not identify you. Aggregated or de-identified data is not subject to this Policy.


How We Use Personal Information


We may use the categories of personal information listed in the Personal Information We Collect section for the following purposes:

  • To Operate Or Improve Our Business. For example, to provide you the services, products, support, assistance, or other materials you requested; create and manage online accounts; process payments, manage our client and vendor relationships; perform accounting, auditing, and other internal functions; diagnose or address technical problems in the operation of our online or other Services; develop, enhance, analyze, and improve our online and other Services and our existing and new products; and perform data analysis and research.

For example, service providers may help us process payments, handle your account, provide customer service or respond to consumer requests, complete online appointments, communicate with you, contact contest winners, promote our services, and store and process data on our behalf. For example, we may exchange information with third parties regarding vehicle details and service history.

  • Referrals. Occasionally, you may have the opportunity to forward information to others through our online Services or interactive advertisements. The personal referral information you provide to facilitate this communication is generally used on a one-time basis and is not further used to re-contact referred individuals, except in circumstances where we obtain consent from the people you have referred to receive communications from us. We may also retain such information for other purposes, such as for analysis to better serve our customers.

  • Legal Matters. We may disclose your personal information when required by law or as necessary to protect our Services. For instance, to comply with the law; respond to a legal process or a request for lawful disclosure or cooperation by a government entity; prevent fraud, physical harm, or financial loss, such as in connection with an investigation of a suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity; verify and enforce compliance with the policies governing our Services; and where permitted by law, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mavis, or any of our business partners, customers, employees, or others.

  • With Your Consent. In addition to the disclosures described in this Policy, we may disclose information about you to third parties when you consent to or request such disclosure.


We do not sell personal information for money. However, our websites and online services may use analytics and advertising tools that enable us and our analytics and marketing partners to collect and disclose internet or other electronic network activity information based on your activity across our Services, including to serve you targeted advertising. Cookies and Similar Technologies


We and our third party analytics and marketing partners use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, web server logs, and other tracking technologies on our websites and other Services to collect information from your browser or device. We use these technologies for various purposes, including (i) customizing our users’ use of our Services, such as remembering your customized user preferences or your login; (ii) delivering content tailored to our users' interests and the manner in which our users use our Services; (iii) providing you information and ads that we and the third parties we work with believe may be of interest to you; (iv) managing our Services and other aspects of our business; and (v) better understanding usage of the Services, such as determining which areas of the Services users prefer. We may provide links to other websites, apps, tools, widgets, and plug-ins maintained by unaffiliated third parties for your convenience, such as social media sharing tools. This information is collected directly by the providers of the features and is subject to the privacy notices of these providers. We do not maintain these third-party services and are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or quality of their content. We make no representations or warranties whatsoever about any third party service which you may choose to access through the Services. Your Rights and Choices


You may have the following choices available to you:

  • Email and Text Messages. You may opt out of receiving future commercial email or text messages from us by following the opt-out instructions in emails or texts we send you. For example, you can reply STOP to unsubscribe from text messages from the seller sending the text message. Please be aware that, if you opt out of receiving commercial email or text messages from us, it may take up to ten (10) business days for us to process your opt-out request, and you may receive commercial email or text messages from us during that period. Please note that if you opt out of future text messages, this opt-out list is separate from our email preferences and opt-out lists.

    • Even if you opt out of receiving commercial emails, we may still correspond with you about your existing or past business relationships with us (e.g., any purchase of our products or use of our services, or responses to your requests for information either through the Services or other means). We may also access and view your information in the course of maintaining and improving the Services.

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies. You may be able to refuse or disable cookies by adjusting your web browser settings. Some browsers have options that allow the visitor to control whether the browser will accept cookies, reject cookies, or notify the visitor each time a cookie is sent. Because each web browser is different, please consult the instructions provided by your web browser (typically in the “help” section).If you choose to refuse, disable, or delete these technologies, some of the functionality of the Services may no longer be available to you. You may also be able to opt-out of receiving certain advertising tailored to your interests by third parties through the Network Advertising Initiative website, an independent website not sponsored by or affiliated with us.

  • Do-Not-Track Signals. Some mobile and web browsers transmit "do-not-track" signals. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.

  • Access, Portability, Correction, and Deletion Rights. You also may have the right to request access (including to a copy of your personal information in a portable format), correction, or deletion of your personal information under applicable laws. These rights apply only in certain circumstances, which means we may be unable (e.g., due to legal requirements) or not obligated to satisfy your request. Once we receive your request, we may verify it by requesting information sufficient to confirm your identity.

  • To submit requests to access, correct or delete personal information, please use our webform or email us at csg@mavis.com. You may be entitled, in accordance with applicable law, to submit a request through an authorized agent or to appeal a refusal to take action on your request. To designate an authorized agent or appeal, please follow the same instructions above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.


We do not engage in automated profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.


How We Protect Personal Information

We take reasonable precautions to maintain the protection of the personal information we collect and use through the Services, including through the use of physical, electronic and procedural measures. However, no system for transmitting or storing information electronically can be completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that personal information or other communications will always remain secure.


Children's Privacy

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If we learn that a child under the age of thirteen (13) has provided us with information, we will delete it in accordance with applicable law.
