These are great tires. I highly recommend them. This is the second set of these I have purchased. My last two tire purchases in fact have been weather guards from Firestone. Smooth quiet ride, superior traction.
Put the tires on the week before leaving for Florida. Drove through driving rain without having to slow down. They are also quite on dry pavement and handling is great. This is the 2nd set of these on this van. The first set wore perfectly even all around. My 2 sons have them on their vehicles. One is a Town and Country van other an Equinox. They also like thr handling of these tires. We also just put a set on me moms Equinox. Would recommend them for almost any vehicle in New York State. We all run them year round. The guys at Mavis didn't pressure us to buy anything else. They said if we're happy with them to stick with them.
This is my second set of Firestone Weathergrip tires. My last set wore perfectly and evenly. This is an amazing tire if you face inclement weather without the hassle of switching between summer and winter tires. I feel extremely confident driving in the rain and snow with these tires. They are an excellent investment. They also have a great 65,000 tread life rating. I highly recommend them!!
I have only driven 100 miles on these tires. I don't know why you're asking me these questions yet.
Love these tires. They are quieter with a smooth ride. Excellent in snow and slippery conditions!
Great tire driven in upstate NY. I live on a mountain that is 800 ft above sea level. Many times I could not drive the roads on my previous Goodyear weather ready tires which were far more expensive than these. I have no problems now in rain snow and even do fairly good on ice. Very safe tire to drive on. I am confident when driving in snow storm and rain
Also superior on dirt and gravel
They work well in all weather conditions,so far. I have not driven in deep snow yet.
After reading reviews and deciding which tires I wanted for my car, based on quality, cost, and reviews from other sites, I contacted Mavis. They didn't have them in stock but ordered them, then called to say they didn't arrive on the truck and asked me to pick out another set as my first choice was not available. After taking some time, I made my second selection, which the clerk said they had in stock. When I arrived for my appointment, the clerk (same one as who told me they were in stock) said that they didn't have those tires in stock, but that my first choice had arrived shortly before I got there. Along the way, there was a hard sell to get me to buy the Mavis brand of tire. Not that it's bad, but it wasn't the tire that I wanted and felt was best for me and my car. It felt like my decision hadn't been respected up to the point of sale. I'm thankful that the tires I wanted were actually available and that I was able to buy them at a good price.
Have about 4,000 miles on the tires over past two months. They've been great. Traction is rain has been excellent. Last week, drove on snow covered roads in VT. Traction on the snow was excellent. Did a brake test at 50 mph and the tires barely slipped. Almost as good as snow tires. Road noise hasn't been noticeable. Only noticeable compromise has been a slip in aggressive cornering during dry conditions. Totally take the trade for the wet and snow performance.
